Troop 70 is known as "The Jamboree Troop". This monicer was earned as the troop began to attend the national jamobrees as a troop.

1950 was the first jamboree the troop attended as a troop and it has continued that tradition to each of the next 15 jamborees.

The troop will be attending the 2013 National Jamboree as part of the Cirlce Ten Council contingent. The triip (as currently planned) includes travel to New York City, Washingoton DC, and the jamboree.

The jamboree will be at the new jamboree site in West Virginia. The program has shifted from the old style at Fort AP Hill in Virginia to a more high adventure program like the other high adventure bases. The program will include, mountain biking, mountain boarding, day treks, a day of service, white water canoeing, treetop canapoy events, etc. Be a part of the first group of participants to attend.

In order to participate in this event, you have to register. All registration is online at The Summitt. Here are the steps to get signed up.
