Troop 70 offers a year-round adventure-based program designed to offer and encourage effective character, citizenship, and fitness training for boys age 11 (10 with Arrow of Light) to 17 years of age. We are dedicated to fostering character development through scouting activities, including a heavy emphasis on providing our scouts with authentic, hands-on, troop leadership; building self-confidence, independence, and initiative by giving responsibility to and recognizing each scout for his own achievements and advancements; and in learning team building, cooperation, and mutual respect through the Patrol Method--all in a supportive, safe, and fun environment in which Scouts are encouraged to encounter real challenges and to develop and implement solutions to them.
